Senior Accountant GOTCO Dammam, Saudi Arabia The Role An exciting role has arisen for a Senior Accountant within a Trading House in Dammam. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will provide accounting support for the trading business, including the optimization of assets and liabilities and minimizing risk exposure. You will provide professional finance and administrative support to operational management and ensure efficient and timely financial reporting and payment of suppliers. Duties will include: • Managing all accounting activities in line with local and corporate practice and policies • Ensuring proper optimization of assets (fixed, current), liabilities, cash flows and risks • Optimize the tax liabilities and protect the legal interests of the company • Set up appropriate management control tools to monitor performance and propose corrective actions where necessary • Report on financial and qualitative expenses and trial balance to the management, regional and Corporate Finance management activities and entities, for: Accounting statements (Profit& Loss and Trial Balance) • Provide financial input on acquisitions, mergers, investments, divestment; licensing in/out agreements and other opportunities, gathering and modelling accounting data as appropriate • Review Fixed assets register and accounting (acquisition, sales, depreciation) and performs regular inventories • Receiving & controlling Bank and petty cash reconciliations • Support decision-making process through provision of appropriate financial information and analysis Requirements You will have at least 5 to 10 years’ experience ideally gained within a Trading Business with experience of ERP systems. You must be able to understand and prepare a Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Trial Balance as well as days sales outstanding, reconciliations and fixed assets.
